Well lets see, Ive decorated since I was 9, I am now 17 and Is see so many cheap annoying airblown inflatables every year?! Honestly If your going to decorate put more effort into it! It takes people around 5 minutes to put one up and theyre just big tacky and ugly…they also scream “I’m Lazy and just decide to put out an inflatable”…At least if you buy one have some lights and some blowmolds to go with it or else it just makes you look lazy!

You would have to be absolutely nuts to want to give this a shot but that's not knowing where you'd launch from or how far you'd want to be traveling to get there. Right?
Consider that you're in an open boat without any protection from the elements. Think about what could go wrong from storms to the sun.
Food. What are you going to carry? For how many days? How would you keep it fresh?
Water. How much are you planning on having on board?
Fuel? Where are you launching from and how much fuel is it going to take for you to get there? If you can't carry enough to make it non-stop where will you refuel?
Open boat. The sun. Don't care how fast one tans one is going to need protection from the sun. How are you going to rig the inflatable to give you shade?
Communication. Do you have a hand held radio? If not you better get one in case of an emergency
Engine. How long is it going to take your motor to get you there? Know how to calculate time/speed/distance on the water? Matter of fact do you know how to chart out your course?
Finding: forget it in this boat. Simply not big or fast enough to even consider trying. However, if you elect to give it a shot please make certain you provide someone you know very well with a float plan and that you check in with them at the agreed upon dates and time and that they understand if they don't hear from you they are to contact marine search/recovery in the area you should be reporting to them from.
This has to be one of the craziest ideas I've seen posted on this site yet.

What's your question? Yes, there are lots of models of inflateable boats, ranging from $100 cheapo Coleman and Sevylor rafts and kayaks that are flimsy and slow, up to $3000 Feathercraft inflatable sit-on-top kayaks that are strong and fast. What you will get all depends on how much you want to pay and how you want to use it. Few of the cheap ones will support more than one person — there are a few that can hold two people.
You can drown in even a small pond and many people do — there is no such thing as a 100% "safe" lake. You still need to have a PFD (life jacket) and to be aware of water safety and boating rules. PFD's are required in the US and probably are also in Australia. If it is a big lake, there is always the risk of drifting so far off shore it might be hard to get back, especially with any wind. Inflatable boats are notoriously slow and difficult to paddle straight.
And, per your previous question: yes, you can puncture an inflatable if you are not careful with it. It is also not as easy to climb back into a cheap inflatable once you've jumped off so make sure you test it in shallow waters before possibly stranding yourself far off shore.

The first thing you would need would be a working base fan.
After that, the materials are readily available. If you take a snowman (strictly for the white), you can cut it up and restitch it into any pattern you want. Use upholstery thread to sew it up.
Gemmy, when making prototypes, airbrushes their designs on them. While the back lit lighting in not a pretty as dyed fabric, it does look nice.
If you want to get further details, I would recommend membership in the forum. There are many members that have modified their inflatables and they would be happy to offer you hints.

There will be a zipper at the base of the Grinch near the fan. Unzip the zipper and allow the Grinch to deflate. Unplug the inflatable.
Reach your hand through the inflatable and find the bulb cover. It will be tied to the inflatable with a small twine. Do not untie the twine. Grab the bulb cover and pull it through the zipped opening. The bulb will be surrounded with a plastic piece that snaps into two pieces (the cover). Disassemble the cover by prying open the two snaps. You will see the burnt bulb. Unscrew the light bulb, replace it with a new, working C-7 bulb, resnap the cover and push the bulb cover back through the unzipped opening.
Rezip the opening and plug it back in. Your light should work fine.
