I enjoyed this very much. Thanks for sharing. By the time my people got here, there were plenty of red cedar trees in the ditches. When my grandmother & mother were each little our trees were either evergreen branches off a big tree or a red cedar tree cut down in the timber or out of a ditch. What I did was drill out the ends of the plastic pvc pipe makeing sure they were drilled equal on both ends.Then I used zip ties that were tightened after the star was formed.The size of the hole depends on the zip ties being used.I went with the 7.5 inch ones.I formed the star then simply went around and adjusted it with the zip ties untill I was happy with the shape and spaceing etc.Then I used the ip ties to lock the other pipes onto each other , no black tape required.
